COMPONENTS | EVO™ Impact Cradle

To absorb the impact from the loading of high volumes or large lumps of material, belt conveyors should be equipped with the EVO™ Impact Cradle under the loading zone.

EVO™ Impact Cradles from Martin Engineering utilize energy-absorbing impact bars to absorB impact energy, preventing damage to the belt and structure, and stabilizing the belt's line of travel to reduce fugitive material.

Each impact bar features a top layer of low friction urethane material to minimize friction against the moving belt. Below is an energy-absorbing layer of Martin Engineering's Maximizer™ Urethane, that will cushion loading impact.

Like the rest of the EVO™ Modern Conveyor Architecture, the Impact Cradle features track-mounted subassemblies. The individual impact bars slide into position on the section supports, and the sections slide into position under the belt, making for quick and easy installation, inspection and maintenance.

EVO™ Impact Cradle complies with CEMA Standard 575-2000 Medium Duty Rating, for impacts up to 12,000 of force.
