Incorporated in Illinois, Martin Engineering is privately held by the heirs of Edwin F. Peterson. Serving as Chairman of the Board is Edwin H. Peterson, son of the founder. Active in the business since 1951, Mr. Peterson's primary areas of interest and expertise are product development and marketing.

Scott Hutter serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Martin Engineering. Mr. Hutter joined the company in 2004 after previously serving as Senior Vice President for KONE Elevator and Escalator, Moline, Illinois. He holds a business administration degree from Augustana College.

R. Todd Swinderman, P.E. is Chief Technology Officer. A registered professional engineer, Mr. Swinderman holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He joined the company in 1979, became Vice-President & General Manager in 1984, served as President from 1987 through 2004, and as CEO from 1998 through 2005.
