Organization History

The Peru Business Unit was established in 2009 with the office in Arequipa. The Business Unit employs 24 people and 80% of the employees have degrees in business or engineering, and almost 25% of those employees have advanced degrees. The Lima facility has expanded to occupy more than 5,300 square feet of space.

The Colombia Business Unit was established in 2017 with the office in Barranquilla. The Business Unit employs 10 people and 50% of the employees have degrees in business or engineering, and almost 30% of those employees have advanced degrees. The Barranquilla facility has expanded to occupy more than 860 square feet of space.

Javier Schmal

Managing Director – Latin America

Javier Schmal has been with Martin Engineering for 17 years serving the Latin American market by providing solutions with innovative and reliable technologies and services for the bulk material handling industries.

Previously, Javier served as Managing Director for Mexico and Brazil, and now as Managing Director for Latin America, he is leading Martin's expansion in the region, improving service and customer experience while developing new markets in Latin America.

Javier has an Electronic and Communication Engineering degree and has a post Graduate degree in Finance and Business Management.
